Artwork Guideline

Follow these guidelines to avoid delays, color issues, or misaligned designs.

File Format Requirements

Submit print-ready files in vector format whenever possible.

  • Preferred formats: AI, PDF, EPS
  • Accepted image formats: PSD, PNG, JPEG (300 DPI minimum)
  • All files must be exported in high resolution
  • Avoid editable formats like Word, PowerPoint, or low-res Canva exports

Convert all fonts to outlines and embed all images before submission.

Color Mode

All artwork must be created in CMYK color mode. RGB is for screens and will shift during printing. Color mismatches are most likely to occur when RGB files are converted during production. CMYK ensures accurate, predictable print output

  • Go to > File
  • Select > Document Color Mode
  • Select > CMYK
Bleed, Trim & Safety Area

To ensure clean cutting and professional results:

  • Bleed: Extend artwork 3mm (0.125) beyond trim line
  • Safety Margin: Keep text/logos 3–5mm inside cut line
  • No critical elements near edges or folds

Bleed prevents unwanted white edges due to cutting tolerances

Dielines define how your packaging is cut, folded, and assembled.

Standard Dieline Indicators:

  • Crop Line – final trim edge
  • Fold/Crease Line – where the box folds
  • Bleed Line – where artwork should extend
  • Safety Margin – safe placement zone
  • Perforation – tearable sections
Artwork Placement Guideline
  • Extend background colors/images to the bleed area
  • Keep important text/logos 3–5mm inside trim line
  • Avoid placing critical elements near edges or folds
  • Maintain extra spacing around folds and seams

For rigid or wrap boxes, larger bleed (5–10mm) may be required

Image Resolution

Use high-resolution graphics to prevent quality loss.

  • Minimum: 300 DPI at final print size
  • Logos and illustrations should be in vector format
  • Avoid scaling up small images

Any pixel-based artwork below recommended resolution may appear blurred or rough after printing.

Fonts & Typography

Small or thin fonts may become unreadable in print

  • Convert all fonts to outlines
  • Minimum recommended size: 10 pt
  • Avoid thin, script, or overly decorative fonts
  • Ensure sufficient contrast between text and background
